Man with a Message, 11/3: Schedule is complete

3 Nov

Just kidding… However, even though there will not be beer, free or otherwise, there will be 20 bands (awesome, amazing, diverse bands from all over the Southeast; there’s a list at the bottom of this blog), and two full days of music and good times for only $5 – all to raise money to save the lives of innocent children from a dated disease. That’s better than free beer, right? Let’s hope so.

Advance tickets are the way to go, to avoid long lines in the middle of November, and it couldn’t be easier; you can visit:

Starbucks on West Main St.
Joe Joe’s Espresso beside McAllister’s on South Gloster
the Main Attraction in Downtown Tupelo
Album Alley near the Tupelo Middle School
The LINK Centre (also the site of the event)
and of course by getting in contact with my band Redemption Loves Company:
(662) 871-8648

The two days will consist of the following:

2:30- Set up, etc..
3:00- Ryan Stone
3:30- the Ethan Aster Band

What is this and where’s it at? I must have missed this. And I’ve never heard of any of these bands.

Search on here for the “Man With a Message” blogs. Michael Niblett, a member of local band Redemption Loves Company, is hosting a two-day music festival in Tupelo to benefit Nothing but Nets. All of these bands are local acts — and are all excellent.

    That makes sense then.

It’s going to be at the Link Centre in Tupelo on West Main St. It used to house Harrisburg Church, but now it’s a performance arts centre. And yeah, the bands are phenomenal.

    He speaks the truth, lol.

I think I speak for many when I say this is the most important thing I have ever been involved in.

    So far.

What you’re doing is really important and will make a difference.

Sheena, yelling FREE BEER is the same as yelling “fire” in a crowded theater…it’s just wrong and, quite frankly, I feel violated. Technically, it could be considered alcohol abuse.

On a serious note (not that beer isn’t serious) the Link Center is much more than a performance arts center. It houses the Tupelo Symphony along with many social services, and community programs. That being said, this benefit is perfect in keeping with the mission of Link Centre.

    This looks really cool.

On a side note, a link to “Nothing But Nets,” or some more information on it here would be helpful; while everyone is throwing out unsolicited advice, that is.
