What’s Going On – Lollapalooza, Radiohead, DragonCon

7 Apr

Merry Monday, Scene cats; happy late-birthday Scene.

This weekend was a bad one for covering live shows. Either it was packed and I couldn’t take photos or I had to leave early. Either way, maybe the best thing I saw this weekend was the special Conference for the Book edition of Thacker Mountain at the Powerhouse in Oxford. Colour Revolt was awesome in their stripped-down set that included “Moses of the South,” “A Siren” and “Naked and Red.”

I’ve got my eyes set on going to the Amory Railroad Festival this weekend, so it looks like next week’s photos may come from that.

Anyway, newsy bits…

  • The full line-up for Lollapalooza is up – Radiohead, Wilco, Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Kanye West and lots more will be there.
  • Pitchfork has launched Pitchfork.tv, a site full of musical goodies.
  • Click here for the “Hellboy” sequel trailer.
  • Whedon-verse favorites James Marsters and Adam Baldwin will be at DragonCon in Atlanta this year.
  • Fuse is looking to get a makeover, with lots of new music programming.
