In the Arena, 4/4

3 Apr

Once again, thanks for the input.  I’ve been on the phone with both WWE and TNA this week so hopefully those of you that are big “rasslin’” fans will have a couple of options to cheer about in the near future.  Now if only I could get Led Zeppelin back together again…

Those of us at the arena are looking forward to our first weekend off in more than three months.  We all knew when we chose this field that weekends would be at a premium, and indeed they have been so far this year.  Of course the fact that we’ve been working every weekend means that we’re doing our job of providing entertainment and convention space for North Mississippi, which is something we’re extremely proud of.  So thank you for supporting our events over the past three months!

Next weekend begins another two month stretch of consecutive weekend events.  However, the summer should slow down considerably in terms of event load.  Historically summers are very slow in the arena business, and the summer of 2008 looks like it will not be an exception to the rule.  We’re still working on a couple of shows for the summertime that will give us something to work on while we gear up for a busy fall and winter of next year.  As soon as we can announce something, we will.

Enjoy your weekend.  I know I will…

Until next week,

Any chance of getting the New Kids on the Block? The wife is dying to see them!

I hope all of these folks that are pushing for TNA to come to the arena will actually support it when time comes to buy tickets. They were in Corinth last summer and the attendance wasn’t very good. And unless you actually watch it you don’t know who the wrestlers are. The WWE always brings pretty good talent to the house shows, but with no cameras it is kinda hard to get that excited at the event after the stars come out of the dressing room area. I wish we could get a Raw or Smackdown t.v. taping or something.

well i support TNA 100%. I record every impact on thursday nights on spike tv. and i have every ppv on dvd….so i will be there.. i think the reason the attendance at corinth wasn’t so good was because it wasn’t promoted and corinth isn’t a very good place to try to do something like that… How good did WCW do back in the day in Tupelo? With the setup of the arena in tupelo, TNA should be able to do anything and everything can look awesome… if people can promote it.. fans will come to see it… …. on the WWE subject.. the only way i would go in tupelo would be see a live taping… Smackdown,ECW or Raw… and that probably won’t happen because those are hard to come by. on WWE house shows.. i just cant make myself go.. they are not worth it..
