Pop culture bucket list

30 Jan

OK, so this may be a little old, but I liked it. 🙂 Entertainment Weekly had a great idea so I thought I’d continue it here.

The magazine asks: What’s on your Pop Culture Bucket List?

What pop-culture related things would want to do before you kick the bucket?

Here’s my list…kind of lame, as I’ve got a lot of “go back in time” things. But I like the past more than the now.:)

  1. Go back in time to see The Beatles, Jeff Buckley, Elvis, The Beach Boys, Hank Williams, The Ramones and The Sex Pistols live.
  2. Meet Joss Whedon. Possibly challenge him to a board game or DDR.
  3. Finally see M.I.A., the Scissor Sisters, Jimmy Eat World, the Foo Fighters, Prince and Jens Lekman live. Also, want to see someone, anyone at the Ryman.
  4. Score a role in a Johnny Depp-Tim Burton movie, even if it’s just a walk-on role…and therefore meet Johnny Depp and Tim Burton.
  5. Go back in time and score a role as a vampire in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
  6. Go back in time and watch Bette Davis smoke a cigarette in person.
  7. Meet Brian Wilson.
  8. Get cast as one of Dexter’s victims on “Dexter.”
  9. Score a role in a Baz Luhrmann movie.
  10. Go back in time and score a role as a Bedford Falls resident who gives George Bailey money at the end of “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

A few honorable mentions: I’m dying for a “Frankie says relax” t-shirt. And, I’d love to go back in time and attend a Truman Capote reading. And it sure wouldn’t hurt to visit George Clooney’s villa Italy, or to play Quiddich with Harry Potter (I’m living in a dream world where he’s real, sorry).

I’m sure there are lots more but that’s all my puny brain can come up with on a Wednesday morning.

What are yours?
