Last night, and more…

7 Nov

So lots of us across Northeast Mississippi are still recovering from last night’s show at the BancorpSouth Arena.

I have to admit, I’m not the biggest fan of any of those bands, but I thought Seether really outrocked everyone else. That band has earned my respect.

What did y’all think about the live blogging from the show? That was the first time we’ve ever tried anything like that, and Lori and I had a blast. If you guys liked it, hated it, whatever, let us know. We’ll keep it up if this is a hit.

Thanks again to the BancorpSouth Arena — first of all for putting on a ROCK show (it’s been so long since Tupelo really rocked out!), and then too for letting us get in and mooch off their wireless for the blog. 🙂

Alright, it’s been a while since we updated some entertainment news, so here are some goodies to get your Wednesday off and running:

  • Rob Zombie is a busy man – new movies, plus the possibility of a White Zombie boxed set.
  • Gosh, just pay them the money they deserve: This writers’ strike may be a long-term thing. It might even go into 08.
    • Speaking of, it’s already shutting down some shows, like “Back to You” and “The New Adventures of Old Christine.”
    • You knew this was coming: Joss Whedon speaks on the strike.
  • Wow, Radiohead fans, way to be so not classy. Most folks downloaded the band’s new album without paying a dime.
  • I heart NPR, and I heart music. Therefore, I heart this site.
